Variable Speed Drives

The implementation of an invertor drive allows the speed of a pump or fan to be reduced.

By reducing the speed by just 10% reduces the energy usage by 33%. In simple terms, the cost of running a 15kW fan 365 days per year (at a unit cost of 8p per kWh), costs £9,943.00.

Applying a 10% speed reduction immediately reduces this cost to £6,661.81.

Add to this, the Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECAs) enable a business to claim 100% first-year capital allowances on their spending, which all makes for a simple decision.

Latest high density drive technology from Schneider, such as the ATV32 allows the drives to be mounted next to each other without the need for spacing and air gaps. The drive is also only 45mm wide, which makes for a very compact system.
